Why Sobriety?

Are you starting to question your relationship with alcohol, and you have no one to talk to? This is the video for you. I started to question my relationship with alcohol about 15 years ago, but no one believed me when I said I thought I was drinking too much. You know why? They were drinking just as much, if not more.

My drinking didn’t fit the stereotype of “problem drinking” – there was no drinking during the day, no DUIs. But, a bottle of wine every night, while I sat on my couch, was making me feel like shit – mentally, emotionally, and physically. If you feel somewhere deep in your soul that alcohol is no longer serving you, I already believe you.

My Sobriety Journey

When I first got sober I was so desperate for connection with other women who had found their way to sobriety. Here’s a piece of my story. I’m sure there’s something in here you can resonate with.

AA Is Not For Everybody

AA is often the first thing that comes to mind when you start to think about sobriety & exploring your relationship with alcohol. But, the 12 step model doesn’t fit everyone, especially if you’re a gray area drinker. The culture can feel stifling and limiting.

7 Books to Read in Your Sobriety

Quit Lit is an entire genre of books that are written specifically to help support you in your sobriety. There are so many good ones out there. This is just a quick review of a few of my favorites.

Dig Deeper: Sober Curiosity

What does sober curiosity mean? It’s more than just removing alcohol from your life for a certain number of days. Watch this video to see how you can dig deeper into your sober curiosity.

Self-care & Sobriety

Sobriety is the ultimate act of self-care. How to get out of the loop of thinking alcohol is something you need/deserve at the end of a long day.
